Hi everyone Lumia 1020 owners!!

This post show how install my Neutral Rom:

windows 10 mobile ROM version 1709 build 15254.158 (KB4073117) January 5, 2018

with Lumia camera app (V4.10.0.6) working and other lumia apps like lumia selfi, lumia panorama,lumia creative Studio,lumia Cinema-graph.

Before doing this:
make sure to make a backup of the all your personal data
make sure the phone battery is full 100% charge

If you wanna make a backup off all your phone contacts numbers go to windows storage and get the app called : " contacs+message backup" by microsoft corporation.
then go back to settings-->Extras and open the app, select a directory where your contacts be saved " the file extesion will be .vcf" save this file on your pc.

You need flash the room using windowsphone internals,you will need to enabled, UnlockBootloader,and enable RootAccess

The initial firmware version installed on my phone is:

RM875 3051.50009.1447.0001 RETAIL eu finland 208 01 461635 get it from:

After install it you will have win8.1 lumia-cyan version, then go to settings-->update then you will receive a message "A critical update is available" to your windows8 phone,once this update is installed, you will get the lumia Denim firmware update to the version 3051.50009.1451.1004 and win8.1.

Then you can flash the partition file roms according to your lumia phone version 32GB or 64GB.

when unzip the file you will see in the extracted directory the next files:

MainOS.bin Size= 2,4 GB (2.387.296.256 bytes)--------->Windows 10 operative systems
EFIESP.bin Size= 67,1 MB (67.108.864 bytes)----------->ESP (Efi System Partition)
Data.bin Size= 28,6 GB (28.646.342.144 bytes)------>windows 10 user data and app data

Step-1 Open WPinternals 1.2 y flash the separate partitions

make sure to make a backup of the all your personal data

NOTE: To lumia phones 1020 with 64 storage GB only need the
MainOS.bin partition file Size= 2,4 GB (2.387.296.256 bytes)

Step 1- Make backup of a separate partitions of the phone

copy the MainOS.bin file (downloaded before) and overwrite it in the directory where put your backup files from step 1

Step 2- On WPinternals 1.2 flash the separate partitions, select the directory where your backup files

When the WPinternals switch the phone to restart the phone will start and stay in the logo of nokia and will not start windows ( this happens because the data in the MainOS.bin are diferents to the data of the partition of 64gb remember that I have a lumia with 32gb, inside the MainOS.bin there is direct access links to the user data and native app data and applications downloaded from the store ) and at this point you need do a hard reset

press power button + volume down the phone will vibrate release the power button but keep volume button down until you see exclamation mark ! In the screen, Then press Volume up –->Volume down –----> Power ---> Volume Down , your phone will reset and reboot and it show a spinning gear while the phone is reseted

once this is done connect the phone to pc open Wpinternals go the part called → Phone click on Manual mode and press--> switch to mass storage the phone will restart in mass storage follow this guide to edit register system items:

change the next values:

Save this values exit from register editor switch the phone to normal mode once the widows phone start configure your phone, and then go to windows storage app then go to→ setting --> disable automatic updates and go back ,go to Downloads and updates press Get updates wait a little while the update app list is created then , press pause all wait a little , in the list go to the Equalizer app and pres the X mark , no update this app, again select update one by one all the remaining applications from the paused list,in this point not install Lumia Camera app this will be done later, install your favorite apps.

After this again you must open Wpinternals go the part called Phone -→Manual Mode and click on --> switch to mass storage follow this guide to edit register system items

Are there any issues with this rom like brightness slider not working, bluetooth and battery draning? If all that is fixed I might try this rom

No brightness slider, bluetooth no, battery is ok, maps no roads, muuten hyvä muttakun ei, i need custom rom like english lang, heremaps or working windows maps.

If your battery is discharged quickly, it's because you have apps running in the background.

go to settings ------>System----->Battery in this window you will see -->Overview and for example 64%
below the battery percentage you will see the message:
Batettery usage by app
touch this and will open a new window with the apps installed in your phone
then select box call Showing: choose All apps
when you select or touch one app it expand a little menu with the following options
-Always allowed in background
-Managed by windows
-Never used in Background
I select the last , and only the apps use by the OS like phone app,alarms &clock let it with the option Managed by windows.
go back to settings menu then go to
Privacy---> BackgroundApps
and choose which the importants apps for you allow runing in background

At the start of the configuration By default the Polish language appears, but by sliding over the list you will see other languages and you can select the one from your country ,you can choose the language that will be installed,Once selected the one of your preference this is installed and the phone will restart.

I have not placed maps and roads because they take up a lot of space when doing the rom and for me it does not make sense to fill the ROM with maps of the whole world and all the languages.
for the use gps phone use the appp called "Maps" from Microsoft Corporation
and other is Maps+ by Shubhan Chemburkar this show a lot of places and services over the maps near at your current position

14393 is best choice to 1020 as its smooth, microsoft maps works, bluetooth works and camera works as it should.
No more updating to fresher versions on my 1020.

I am trying to install Windows 10 on my lumia 1020 but after unlocked bootloader when I try to root my phone it shows "now rebooting to mass storage mode" with no response. How to solve this??

If u have 8.1 and want to install win 10 u need WPInternals 1.2 not the new one.
After u have win 10 THEN u need new WPInternals 2.3 or 2.4..

WPINTERNALS 1.2 can be solve this Problem??

I have done everything. unlocked bootloader and enabled root access on room. after flashing backup.zip when phone reboots to normal mode the Nokia logo shows for several minutes and blank the screen.... what is it??
